分子生物學(xué)、神經(jīng)生物學(xué)博士后 （加州大學(xué)河濱分校）

Several postdoc positions are available in Dr. Huiwang Ai’s lab at UC Riverside (https://ailab.ucr.edu). The expertise of our lab is on protein engineering and fluorescent redox probes. Recently, our lab has explored new areas, including the biology and toxicology of oxidative stress, imaging of brain activities, and protein/peptide enzyme inhibitors. We are looking for postdoctoral fellows with the following expertise: 1. Molecular biology, with previous experiences in sophisticated molecular cloning, gene library construction, and/or protein engineering. Persons with experiences in phage display, yeast surface display, fluorescent proteins, or directed enzyme/antibody evolution, are preferred. 2. UPLC-MS/MS based proteomics, with preferred experience in identification of post- translational modifications. We have access to a most advanced Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid Mass Spectrometer. We hope to expand our research program to profile protein modifications under oxidative stress. 3. Cell biology and neurobiology. We hope to hire a postdoc fellow to expand the biological applications of sensors and fluorescent probes developed in our laboratory. This person may also work on a stem cell based toxicology project collaborated with Dr. Talbot at UCR. The to-be-hired researchers are expected to be self-motivated. UCR has an excellent environment to conduct research! Riverside is a southern California city about 40 miles east of Los Angeles and 75 miles north of San Diego. The small-city feel and proximity to the large metropolitan areas allow you to experience the best of both environments. Like the rest of Southern California, the climate is generally mild and sunny, and Riverside was recently named on of America's top ten Most Livable Communities. The Pacific Ocean is located about 1 hour west of campus, while the San Bernardino Mountains and ski areas are located about 1 hour east. UCR's location is ideal in the sense that you can take advantage of a large variety of recreational activities near campus. Southern California is a vibrant metropolitan area with many industrial jobs (e.g. biotech jobs), which should benefit your long-term career! |
