【招生信息】美國休士頓大學機械工程系趙博教授組誠招2022春季秋季全獎博士生

趙博博士于2011年獲得中國科學技術大學近代力學系學士學位,2016年于佐治亞理工學院機械工程系取得博士學位,2017年加入斯坦福大學電子工程系從事博士后研究,2021年加入休士頓大學機械工程系任助理教授。 趙博博士主要從事熱輻射、微納尺度光子學以及相關領域研究。曾經(jīng)在國際上首次提出用于新能源轉換的光電耦合轉換電路,發(fā)現(xiàn)了拓撲材料中打破基爾霍夫輻射定律的熱輻射特性,實驗上實現(xiàn)了超越于黑體輻射極限10倍以上的大面積近場輻射換熱增強,并提出多種至今仍然在多項指標上保持記錄的高性能光子引擎(光子熱電轉換裝置)。研究成果發(fā)表于自然通訊,美國國家科學院院刊,納米快報,國際傳熱傳質等。 本實驗室歡迎感興趣的各種背景同學,包括熱科學,力學,光學,物理學或材料科學等。請將cv寄送 趙博博士 (bzhao8@uh.edu)。 語言要求:免GRE。托福可以用Duolingo在線測試代替。 the zhao group (https://energyzhao.github.io/) in the department of mechanical engineering at the university of houston has two ph.d. openings starting from spring 2022 and fall 2022. dr. bo zhao received his bachelor’s degree from the university of science and technology of china in 2011. he joined professor zhuomin zhang’s group at the georgia institute of technology and obtained his ph.d. degree in 2016. he worked with professor shanhui fan at stanford university as a postdoctoral research associate before joined the university of houston. dr. zhao’s research interests are broadly thermal radiation, nanophotonics, energy conversion, electronics, plasmonics, 2d materials, and numerical design. his recent works have been published in leading journals, including nature communications, pnas, nano letters, advanced optical materials, and international journal of heat and mass transfer. current research directions include but not limited to • thermal photonics and plasmonics • photon-mediated heat engines and refrigerators • electronic and photonic circuits • radiative properties: tunability, nonreciprocity, topology, and beyond • enhanced radiative heat transfer • photon chemical potential and light emission from nonequilibrium bodies for interested students with a background in thermal science, optics, photonics, physics, material science, or related areas, please email your cv directly to dr. zhao (bzhao8@uh.edu). for postdocs and visiting scholars, please email dr. zhao to check the availability. about u of houston: the university of houston (uh) is a public research university in houston, texas, and the flagship institution of the university of houston system. uh was ranked the 31st top college in the united states by payscale and collegenet's social mobility index college rankings. uh operates more than 40 research centers and engages six interdisciplinary research clusters, including bio-med sciences and engineering, complex systems/space exploration, energy and natural resources, and nano-materials. houston is the most populous city in the u.s. state of texas. nicknamed the "bayou city", "space city", and "h-town", houston has become a global city, with strengths in culture, medicine, and research. 休斯頓大學是美國得克薩斯州休斯敦的公立大學,位于休斯頓市中心東南區(qū)。在1927年3月7日創(chuàng)立,擁有近44000名學生,是德克薩斯州的第三大學府。卡內基學術基金會將uh評為“具有最高研究活動的博士學位授予機構"。2021年qs美國大學排名中排名第66位。休斯敦大學位于全美的第4大城休斯敦houston,位于德州texas的東南部。休斯敦大學在地理位置上與休斯敦市中心相聚僅3英里。 |
