新加坡科技設(shè)計(jì)大學(xué)楊聲遠(yuǎn)老師研究組招收2016年度研究生 新加坡科技設(shè)計(jì)大學(xué)（SUTD）為新加坡與麻省理工（MIT）和浙江大學(xué)合作新建的研究型大學(xué)，學(xué)校主頁(yè) https://www.sutd.edu.sg/index.aspx 博士生待遇優(yōu)厚： • 免學(xué)費(fèi) • 每月獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金 3000新幣（約合每月人民幣 1萬(wàn) 5千），為新加坡最高獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。 • 博士期間另有 2萬(wàn)新幣供參加學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議和訪學(xué)用。 • 博士期間將有機(jī)會(huì)去往麻省理工學(xué)院（MIT）交流半年。 更多博士生的信息見(jiàn) https://www.sutd.edu.sg/phd_application.aspx，注意申請(qǐng)需要有托�；蛘哐潘汲煽�(jī)，不需 要 GRE 成績(jī)。 主要研究方向：理論研究新型低維材料和拓?fù)洳牧系奈锢硇再|(zhì)，包括拓?fù)浣^緣體，拓?fù)涑瑢?dǎo)體，石墨烯等二維 層狀材料；自旋電子學(xué)；量子輸運(yùn)； 申請(qǐng)者背景： 有理論物理或計(jì)算物理知識(shí)的本科或碩士畢業(yè)生（不是物理系的也行），最好具有數(shù)值計(jì)算的經(jīng)驗(yàn)與技能，會(huì) 使用 Origin 等軟件畫美觀的圖，能熟練使用 MatLab。 歡迎有意向 2016 年 1月或者2017 年 9月入學(xué)的申請(qǐng)人與楊老師聯(lián)系，將簡(jiǎn)歷發(fā)至 shengyuan_yang@sutd.edu.sg 導(dǎo)師簡(jiǎn)介： Dr. Shengyuan Yang was from the city of Nanjing in the east part of China. After one year’s study in the Electrical Engineering program of Tsinghua University, he was awarded the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship and transferred to study Mathematics/Physics at The University of Hong Kong. He graduated with First Class Honours in 2005. Then he joined the condensed matter theory group at The University of Texas at Austin and obtained his Ph.D. in physics degree in 2011. Dr. Yang’s research is mainly on the magnetic and transport properties of nanostructures and novel materials. The topics that he has worked on include electronic properties of 2D materials such as graphene and silicene, topological insulators, electromotive force induced by magnetic dynamics, theory of optical second harmonic generation, pumping effects in quantum dot structures, design of magnetic nano-devices, the effects of disorder scattering on transport and magnetic properties. He worked as an imaging geophysicist in CGG (US) Services at Houston from 2011 to 2013. He joined SUTD in June 2013.
