postdoc positions in heterogeneous two-dimensional materials, biosensors, and experimental macro-/micro-/nano-mechanics the newly established khalifa university of science and technology (ku) (http://www.kustar.ac.ae) in abu dhabi, united arab emirates (uae) is aiming to become a world-class, research-intensive institution, seamlessly integrating research and education to produce world leaders and critical thinkers in engineering and applied science. the university endeavors to be a leader among research-intensive universities of the 21st century, while catalyzing the growth of abu dhabi and the uae’s rapidly developing knowledge economy. currently ku is ranked 28 among top universities in asia by the (https://www.timeshighereducation ... king#survey-answer) media coverage on ku can also be found from the following link http://lx.huanqiu.com/cooperation/2019-05/14883635.html two postdoc positions are available (starting august/september 2019) in the areas of (1) heterogeneous two-dimensional (2d) materials for biosensor applications and (2) experimental macro-/micro-/nano-mechanics. the project is under a ku-kaist (korean advanced institute of science and technology) joint research initiative; researchers will have a chance to carry out short-term research at kaist. for position (1) in 2d materials, experiences in synthesis and characterization of 2d material systems and heterogeneous materials are required. for position (2), strong experimental techniques such as universal testing machine, dynamics mechanical analyzer, nano-indentation, afm, and other relevant techniques are required. knowledge of computational nanomechanics (molecular simulation/solid mechanics) will be an advantage. successful candidates should have proven publication record in the aforementioned research field. salary for these positions is around 6k+ to 6.8k usd/month (tax free) depending on experience. interested parties please send cv/inquiry to: prof. kin liao department of aerospace engineering khalifa university of science and technology email: kin.liao@ku.ac.ae 目前此招聘已截止。 [ Last edited by kliao on 2019-7-30 at 14:24 ] |
