On the cover: A kymograph series of a single swi6Δ mrc1Δ S. pombe cell undergoing anaphase with a lagging chromosome. Images are separated by 3m intervals from top (earliest) to bottom. Transmitted light is pseudo-colored sepia brown. RFP histone H3 is pseudo-colored blue-white for the most intense/most dense chromatin and red for the less intense/less dense chromatin. swi6Δ and chp1Δ cells experience high rates of abnormal DNA segregation and unusual chromatin packing around mitosis.
