Efficient Iron-Catalyzed Acetal Formation from Styrene Derivatives
All green in one medium: FeSO4⋅7 H2O in combination with pyridine-2-carboxylic acid and H2O2 in methanol can efficiently catalyze the formation of arylaldehyde dimethyl acetals from the corresponding styrene derivatives.
