A PhD position is now available in Dr. Chung Tin's  Lab (https://personal.cityu.edu.hk/~chungtin/) in the field of Neural modeling and neural simulation.

Our lab is working on understanding the computation and learning in the brain using computer modeling and simulation techniques,  and their related application in robotic control.
The candidates are expected to have a strong background in programming (C/C+, Matlab, etc.) and is interested in studying biological/neural system. Experience in nonlinear dynamics and/or machine learning will be a plus.
Interested students with backgrounds in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering,  Mechatronic Engineering  or related area are strongly encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants with Master’s degree or at his/her final year of master program.
The candidates should be highly self-motivated, well-organized, and have strong interest in interdisciplinary research.

The minimum English proficiency requirements are:
a) a minimum TOEFL score 79 (internet-based); or
b) a minimum overall band score of 6.5 in IELTS;
