Parallel and Distributed Systems Lab at School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, has several openings for Research Fellow / Research Assistant in the areas of Cloud Computing, Multiplayer Online Games, Interactive Media Applications, and Distributed Systems.   
   
Responsibilities  
   
Successful candidates for these positions shall be responsible for undertaking research in the following areas:  
o Cloud Resource Allocation and Scheduling   
o Cloud Gaming and Application Streaming Platforms  
o Scalable Cloud-based MMOG Services and Interactive Media Applications  
o Mobile Online Gaming Systems  
   
Candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research on theoretical problems, algorithm design and analysis, performance evaluation, and software prototype development.  
   
The initial appointment is normally for one year with possible extensions. Successful candidates can expect a competitive salary and benefits.  
   
Requirements  
   
Applicants for the Research Fellow position should satisfy the following requirements:  
o A PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline;  
o Relevant research experience with strong publication record in reputable conferences and journals;  
o Ability to conduct research independently;  
o Fluent in written and spoken English;  
   
Applicants for the Research Assistant position should satisfy the following requirements:  
o A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline;  
o Good knowledge in algorithm design and analysis, distributed systems and computer networks;  
o Competence in programming and system development;  
o Fluent in written and spoken English.
