生物能源組研究方向:
轉(zhuǎn)化農(nóng)業(yè)和生物質(zhì)廢棄物為高附加值的燃料,化學(xué)品和生物制品。具體研究內(nèi)容包括如下:
(1)納米和固體催化劑的制備及應(yīng)用,包括催化木質(zhì)纖維素水解并生產(chǎn)可發(fā)酵糖,合成化學(xué)品和生物燃料,和催化植物油制備生物柴油等;
(2)水熱法水解纖維素、木質(zhì)纖維素生產(chǎn)可發(fā)酵糖、有機(jī)酸和化學(xué)品等,及木質(zhì)素的開發(fā)與應(yīng)用;
(3)微生物發(fā)酵法轉(zhuǎn)化木質(zhì)纖維素水解產(chǎn)物生產(chǎn)油脂(生物柴油)、醇、酮、有機(jī)酸、氫氣及其它次級代謝產(chǎn)物。微生物發(fā)酵法轉(zhuǎn)化副產(chǎn)品甘油生產(chǎn)乳酸、丙二醇等化學(xué)品。
(4)綠色溶劑的研發(fā)與應(yīng)用(水熱水,離子液體,有機(jī)電解液,超臨界流體等),雙功能催化劑合成及用于催化生物質(zhì)制化學(xué)品等;
Open rank faculty position in Microbiology (Biofuels and Biorefinery), Nanjing China

College of Engineering, Nanjing Agricultural University (a top national university under the Ministry of Education of China) established a group for biomass and biorefinery in December 2015. A new faculty position in microbiology or industrial biotechnology at any rank is now being recruited within this group led by Prof. Zhen FANG to convert renewable biomass and agricultural wastes to biofuels and chemicals.
The faculty member will be expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program and to provide leadership in educational undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas of bioenergy and bio-based products from agricultural wastes. Possible topical areas of this group include thermo-chemical conversion processes, hydrothermal processes, green solvents (ionic liquids, supercritical fluids) for biorefining, synthesis of nanocatalysts for chemicals, biofuels, bio-diesel production processes, biological conversion processes (e.g., microbial oil, algae biodiesel, fermentation for hydrogen, ethanol and butanol), conversion of biomass to liquid, solid and gaseous fuels; separation of bioproducts; integration of biomass production/conversion/utilization concepts; and other relevant topics.
The candidates are expected to have a background in micro-organisms, enzymes and algae to make biobased products in sectors such as chemicals, food, biodiesel and bioenergy with demonstrated credentials in research, scholarship, supervising students, writing proposals and published papers in high impacted international journals.
