POSTDOC POSITION AVAILABLE:  We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in bioanalytical chemistry within the Department of Chemistry at Iowa State University with an anticipated start date of March 1, 2017. In this position, the individual will develop bioanalytical methods using ionic liquid and magnetic ionic liquid-based materials for the analysis of nucleic acids and viable bacteria. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in biochemistry including a background in nucleic acid chemistry and proficiency in PCR and qPCR, analytical chemistry, and separation science.  A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.  Interested individuals should submit the following to Prof. Anderson by email (andersoj@iastate.edu):  (A) Curriculum vitae; (B) Statement of research interests and goals; (C) names and contact information for three (3) references.
