Correlating the atomic scale structure with catalytic activity

About my research:
My group uses state-of-the-art microscopy techniques to understand the structure of nanostructures to the atomic scale. We measure the catalytic properties of the nanostructures and correlate their performance with the structure. We work on complex systems where several components and their interfaces have a significant effect on the activity.

Required background:
Knowledge in characterization of nanoparticles (electron microscopy, XRD, XPS, Uv-Vis) and in measurements of electrocatalytic activity and photocatalytic activity.
