從書面語到口語都可以用，如果用做文章標題，可以直接用2，3，或者 All outdoor activities cancelled due to (the) heat.
這里需要添加很多的客套，句子要很嚴肅一本正經(jīng)但又很幽默那種，寫出來會很長，樓上各位的都太，太簡單了，大家腦洞吧。
樓主給的提示并沒有要嚴肅一本正經(jīng)又很幽默。。。。我是覺得句子以簡潔明快表意清晰為美，冗長客套的那種不能稱之為華麗。中文里古詩一個字都能體會出美感，放在美國大家比較喜歡用雙關(guān)，也都是一兩個單詞的事，能體會到就會心一笑。不過恕我直言，樓主所說的華麗，是她自己對要求比較模糊
