Exciting Shanghai School國(guó)際研討會(huì) 將于2018年11月17日-22日在上海大學(xué)舉辦。本期國(guó)際研討的目的是向DFT的初學(xué)者（碩士生、博士生以及博后）介紹DFT的理論基礎(chǔ)乃至計(jì)算機(jī)軟件中的實(shí)際應(yīng)用。特別是將講述Exciting軟件中應(yīng)用的全電子全勢(shì)增強(qiáng)平面法。在手把手環(huán)節(jié)和教程中我們將會(huì)討論材料性質(zhì)計(jì)算的專業(yè)技能，例如針對(duì)結(jié)構(gòu)、磁性、線性和非線性光學(xué)，以及磁光性質(zhì)等。最后將介紹歐洲NOMAD (Novel Materials Discovery)數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)。

The purpose of the school is to provide an introduction to DFT for beginners (master students, PhDs, and post-docs) ranging from its theoretical foundations to practical implementations in computer softwares. In particular, the full electron full potential augmented plane method will be described as implemented in the Exciting software. The necessary know-how for calculating materials property such as structural, magnetic, linear and non-linear optical, and magneto-optical properties etc will be discussed through hands-on sessions and tutorials. Last but not least, an introduction to the NOMAD project, i.e. Novel Materials Discovery, will be given.
