I never had  participated in a English Corner even if i had the chance in college.
My sophomore classmate told me that you could had the chance to hook up with hottie there, esp the ones from Foreign Language Department which make me drooling.
I always dreamed that i could meet a english-majored girl that i can argue with her in English if we had quarrel.

All right, let get back to the topic.
If you really want to push your English into some sorta of sick level, and you really want to take part in that English corner, make sure the people there have decent English level otherwise it could kill your interest and depreciate your current level.

如果有英語母語國家的人，英語角是有可能有幫助的，如果包括老外大家都是非英語母語國家的人，英語角能提供的幫助就很有限了，因為老外說的也是非母語，有可能未必比你好到哪里去。

In your case, you can regard there as a place to talk in English, to keep your language sense of English, not a place to learn speaking English.
