skype interview with prof. vassilios kapaklis:
1. i present my research summary;
2. kapaklis ask me to raise questions;
3. i ask the job content and kapaklis answer it's about the the dynamics studies of magnetoplasmonics;
4. i ask the aim of the project and kapaklis said it is to understand the roles of magnetic and optics in the magnetoplasmonic materials;
5. i ask the application of magnetoplasmonics; kapaklis said the mechanics of magnetoplasmonics is still not clear and might use magnetics to control plamsonics or vice versa;
6. kapaklis ask if i have experiences in magnetic characterization and i answer no.
7. kapaklis told the salary, contract years and uppsala rent.
8. i ask when do i know the result and kapaklis said within 2 weeks.

end on 28 jan 2016.   On 9 Feb 2016, vassilios kapaklis emailed me to ask me to visit uppsala university before giving me an offer. I declined and suggested another interviewer. he said that on-site visit is necessary and i declined again. about one month later the recruitment system informed me that the position was filled by another person.

緣起：我找海外博士后歷時(shí)6個(gè)月(10月到次年3月)，投過(guò)126個(gè)簡(jiǎn)歷，有過(guò)十幾次面試，前后共獲得了5個(gè)offer。其中印象深刻的是英國(guó)大學(xué)的兩次面試，因?yàn)槲也皇潜粏?wèn)教科書知識(shí)就是被問(wèn)到答不出來(lái)；還有兩次美國(guó)大學(xué)的華人老板面試，其中一個(gè)當(dāng)場(chǎng)給了oral offer，結(jié)果后面email交流offer細(xì)節(jié)之下發(fā)現(xiàn)沒(méi)有假期和自付保險(xiǎn)；還有中美聯(lián)合項(xiàng)目的面試，是給offer最早的(一般國(guó)內(nèi)的offer肯定是最早到的)，卻在內(nèi)地大學(xué)的人事部這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)上不順暢。這么多次面試、拒信和offer，我最后的選擇是最符合我的能力和興趣的，所以說(shuō)這個(gè)被篩選和篩選offer的過(guò)程，正是對(duì)自己的科研能力和興趣越來(lái)越明晰的過(guò)程，最終達(dá)到一個(gè)勞資雙方都匹配的狀態(tài)�；仡^來(lái)看，我是應(yīng)該感謝那兩所英國(guó)大學(xué)如此嚴(yán)格的面試以及拒信的，否則即便我拿到了他們的offer，我的表現(xiàn)可能很差，最終雙輸。當(dāng)然，伴隨著這個(gè)找博士后過(guò)程的是焦慮、恐慌、誘惑，人難以很從容地做決定。但是，我的經(jīng)驗(yàn)是即使面試當(dāng)場(chǎng)給了offer、面對(duì)當(dāng)場(chǎng)答應(yīng)就解脫的誘惑，自己都必須冷靜幾天考慮一下在平靜狀態(tài)下再做決定。也正因?yàn)榇耍�我�?huì)將這些博士后面試經(jīng)歷陸續(xù)分享出來(lái)，希望對(duì)其他找海外博士后的蟲友有所幫助。
