以上兩句，譯成 The soldier watched the enemies in the grass.好像都行（暫且撇開動(dòng)詞時(shí)態(tài)的問題）， in the grass 這個(gè)介詞短語(yǔ)既可作狀語(yǔ)修飾 watched 也可作定語(yǔ)修飾the enemies，但明顯就有很大的歧義。不清楚外國(guó)人是如何處理這個(gè)問題的，樓主可能也是想搞清楚這個(gè)問題。
以我目前水平，我想作如下處理，不知行不行？

這士兵在草叢中監(jiān)視敵人。
The soldier watched enemies from grass.
或者The soldier watched enemies through grass.

這士兵在監(jiān)視草叢中的敵人。
The soldier watched the enemies ih the grass.
