【獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金】
博士生獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金為每月17500港幣，第二年pass qualifying exam后會(huì)漲至18000港幣，此外還有其他獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金可以申請(qǐng)，如博士學(xué)費(fèi)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金等。

【導(dǎo)師簡(jiǎn)介】
dr. kai liu joined city university of hong kong in march 2019 as an assistant professor in animal welfare, ethics and behavior.
kai obtained his phd degree in agricultural and biosystems engineering (animal production systems engineering) from iowa state university, usa,
and then joined the swine teaching and research center at the university of pennsylvania, school of veterinary medicine, usa, as a postdoctoral
researcher. currently, he contributes to the bachelor of veterinary medicine by teaching courses in the areas of animal behavior and welfare and
intensive livestock production systems. he also conducts research in the area of precision livestock farming, mostly in poultry and swine
production systems.

【研究方向】
precision livestock farming (computer vision, wearable sensor):
•        engineering strategies/innovation for real-time monitoring, assessment, and management of farm animals regarding their behavior,
health, production, reproduction, and welfare

animal housing and environment management:
•        alternative housing system design for farm animals
•        behavior and production responses of farm animals to housing enrichment
•        novel lighting technologies for poultry production

animal behavior and welfare:
•        alternative housing systems for improved behavior and welfare of farm animals
•        behavior, welfare, and emotion assessment for companion animals (e.g., dog, cat), horse, and other species of interests



【申請(qǐng)要求】
歡迎農(nóng)業(yè)工程 (及其他理工科專業(yè))、畜牧工程、動(dòng)物科學(xué)等相關(guān)背景的本科和碩士畢業(yè)生報(bào)名申請(qǐng)（應(yīng)屆或往屆不限），具有碩士學(xué)位者及有文章發(fā)表者優(yōu)先。
[英文要求]：雅思最低6.5（總分）、或托福機(jī)考>=79，特別優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生，英語六級(jí)490分以上也可接受（需學(xué)校審批決定）。
