[簡(jiǎn)介] 夏幼南 65年出生,87年獲中國(guó)科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位(化學(xué));90年獲中科院福建物質(zhì)結(jié)構(gòu)研究所碩士學(xué)位,96年哈佛大學(xué)化學(xué)與生物化學(xué)系,獲博士學(xué)位,師從George M. Whitesides教授,論文題目是“Soft Lithography: Micro- and Nanofabrication Based on Microcontact Printing and Replica Molding”。 96-97. 7做博士后研究,97. 7起在美國(guó)華盛頓大學(xué)化學(xué)系任助理教授。已在《Science》,《Nature》,《J. Am. Chem. Soc.》,《Adv. Mater.》等刊物上發(fā)表了50篇論文,其中第一作者24篇,其中包括在《Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.》及《Annu. Rev. Mater. Sci.》等重要刊物上發(fā)表了六篇特邀綜述論文。文章發(fā)表后,引用八十余次。1997年因科研成績(jī)突出在美國(guó)1997年在美國(guó)獲Dreyfus New Faculty Award和ICI Student Award Finalist獎(jiǎng)。

2、彭小剛
[簡(jiǎn)介] 幾年前,量子點(diǎn)的制備工作在納米科技領(lǐng)域曾是一支獨(dú)秀,幾乎各種材料的單一量子點(diǎn)分別在這十幾年里被做了個(gè)遍。在這個(gè)領(lǐng)域里,A. Paul Alivisatos可以說(shuō)是絕對(duì)的權(quán)威,熟悉納米領(lǐng)域的人幾乎都知道此人。隨便在science或nature上搜一下他的名字, http://ytht.net/Ytht.NetCsbA5mrFB/con?B=Nano&F=M.1082982353. 在發(fā)光量子點(diǎn)這個(gè)色彩斑斕的領(lǐng)域里,有一顆璀璨的新星,相信大家也不陌生,他就是Alivisatos的得意門(mén)生彭小剛。他畢業(yè)于吉林大學(xué),在Alivisatos門(mén)下完成博士學(xué)業(yè),現(xiàn)在在University of Arkansas做Associate Professor。很有意思的是,在低微這一塊兒,有兩個(gè)人遙相呼應(yīng),一個(gè)是做零微量子點(diǎn)的彭小剛,一個(gè)是做一微納米線的楊培東,兩人有很多類(lèi)似的地方:年齡相仿,楊71年的人,彭也差不多;都曾從師于大牛牛門(mén)下,一個(gè)是lieber,一個(gè)是Alivisatos;楊哈佛畢業(yè)后去了berkeley自立門(mén)戶(hù),彭berkeley畢業(yè)后去了Arkansas做老板;當(dāng)然了,都是化學(xué)出身;都是JACS上最頻繁出現(xiàn)的水手之一。
彭在II-VI族半導(dǎo)體量子點(diǎn)的研究上毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)的走在了國(guó)際的最前列,其制備手段爐火純青,引領(lǐng)風(fēng)騷,讓人望塵莫及。前兩年里,從paper上看,彭的工作重心在量子點(diǎn)的新方法制備的開(kāi)發(fā)上;近一年來(lái)有很大改動(dòng),似乎想從深層次去開(kāi)發(fā)量子點(diǎn)的功能上入手,又像是準(zhǔn)備在nano device上大作手腳,也開(kāi)始涉足bio體系,頗有讓人琢磨不透的潛力。彭有一個(gè)非常了不起的本事,就是很強(qiáng)的挖掘能力,一旦把握住了機(jī)會(huì),幾乎不給后人留什么殘羹。當(dāng)我們還在摸著后腦勺重復(fù)他的實(shí)驗(yàn)的時(shí)候,他已經(jīng)把這個(gè)寶貝雞蛋里面的脆骨都挑了出來(lái);當(dāng)我們嘆息他把這塊綠地亂砍亂伐的再也沒(méi)有什么開(kāi)發(fā)價(jià)值的時(shí)候,他總是能出其不意的把一篇又一篇的jacs、nano letters擺上舞臺(tái)。

3、G. D. Stucky
[Introduction] received his Ph.D. in 1962 from Iowa State University. After postdoctoral study at MIT, he held positions at the University of Illinois, Sandia National Laboratory and DuPont Central Research and Development Department before joining the UCSB faculty in 1985. His research currently focuses on molecular assembly of nanoscale to macroscale components of composite systems; the interface of inorganics with biomolecules and the cardiovascular system; chemistry associated with the efficient utilization of energy resources; gradient materials and interfaces; and understanding Nature's routes to organic/inorganic bioassembly. Recent honors include a von Humboldt Senior US Scientist award (2000), the American Chemical Society Award in the Chemistry of Materials (2002), an IBM Faculty Award (2003), the IMMA (International Mesostructured Materials Association) Award (2004), and election to fellowship in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2005).

[簡(jiǎn)介] 在旅美的杰出中國(guó)人里,科學(xué)家究竟占多大百分比,沒(méi)有人統(tǒng)計(jì)過(guò)。但毋庸置疑的是,美國(guó)科學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域,一直盛產(chǎn)杰出的華人。楊培東,現(xiàn)年32歲的加州大學(xué)伯克利分;瘜W(xué)家,便是其中一名佼佼者。
來(lái)自江蘇蘇州、畢業(yè)于中國(guó)科技大學(xué)的楊培東28歲時(shí)就成為伯克利大學(xué)助理教授,獨(dú)立負(fù)責(zé)一個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)室的工作。同時(shí),他還是勞倫斯·利弗摩爾國(guó)家實(shí)驗(yàn)室科學(xué)家。近年來(lái),楊培東領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的研究小組接連在美國(guó)《科學(xué)》和英國(guó)《自然》等權(quán)威科學(xué)期刊上發(fā)表有關(guān)納米材料的論文,他本人多次獲得各種科學(xué)獎(jiǎng)金和榮譽(yù),成為美國(guó)和世界納米研究領(lǐng)域的明星。

5、王中林
[簡(jiǎn)介] 王中林,男,1961年出生,1982畢業(yè)于西北電訊工程學(xué)院(現(xiàn)名西安電子科技大學(xué)),并于同一年考取中美聯(lián)合招收的物理研究生(CUSPEA)。1987年獲亞利桑那州立大學(xué)物理學(xué)博士。從1987到1994,他曾在紐約州立大學(xué)石溪分校,英國(guó)劍橋大學(xué)開(kāi)文迪許實(shí)驗(yàn)室,美國(guó)橡樹(shù)嶺國(guó)家實(shí)驗(yàn)室,和美國(guó)國(guó)家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和技術(shù)定量局從事過(guò)研究工作。1995年被佐治亞理工學(xué)院(Georgia Institute of Technology)聘為副教授和電子顯微鏡實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任,于1999年提前晉升為該校終身制正教授并擔(dān)任電子顯微鏡中心主任,并于2004年晉升為佐治亞理工學(xué)院最年輕的校攝政董事教授(Regents’Professor)。他于2000年九月創(chuàng)建了佐治亞理工學(xué)院的納米科學(xué)和技術(shù)中心并擔(dān)任該中心主任。

[簡(jiǎn)介] 哈佛大學(xué)化學(xué)系教授Charles M. 8、C.J. Brinker
[introduction] C. Jeffrey Brinker is widely recognized for his pioneering work in sol-gel chemistry – the formation of ceramic materials from molecular precursors. His initial efforts addressed the processing of highly refractory glasses like fused silica at remarkably low temperatures – less than half that of conventional melt-processing. He then turned his attention to the preparation of porous materials useful for a wide range of applications including antireflective coatings, sensors, membranes, adsorbents, and thermal and acoustic insulation. Through exploitation of the scaling relationships of mass and size of fractal objects, he devised a fractal engineering approach to tailor the porosity and pore size of these materials. This early work culminated in the publication of Sol-Gel Science in 1990 (with co-author George Scherer), a book that remains the most highly cited reference in this rapidly growing field.

9、Alan Ozin
[introduction] Geoffrey Alan Ozin, born 23rd August 1943 in London England , received a B.Sc. in chemistry from Kings College University of London in 1965 and his D. Phil. degree in inorganic chemistry from Oriel College Oxford University in 1967. He was ICI Fellow at the University of Southampton from 1967-69 before joining the University of Toronto in 1969. He achieved the rank of Full Professor in 1977, University Professor in 2001, the highest honour in the University of Toronto and was named Canada Research Chair in Materials Chemistry in 2001, a national award for his contributions to science.
