Reviewer #1: 1.The manuscript needs proofread from a native English speaker.

2.The topic is too broad, but the manuscript is not correspondingly comprehensive enough, only hundred plus references. Take a simple example, papers from bioprinting-specific journals such as "Bioprinting" and "International Journal of Bioprinting" are limited, especially in recent 2 years.


3.On the other hand, the authors presented some of the latest development of biomaterials, more on ceramic and bioink but less on metal and polymer. However, it is unclear what points or insights they wish to provide. The current review is not critical enough, not indpeth, and very little has gone beyond current thinking in the field.


4.The authors should think clearly of the type of the review: comprehensive or in-depth? It is neither for the current manuscript. Since the topic of "latest development in 3D printing of biomaterials" is still interesting, a major revision is recommended.
