The Physics of AmoRphous and Inorganic Solids Laboratory (PARISlab) and the Laboratory for the Chemistry of Construction (LC2) Materials at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) are seeking a PhD candidate starting September, 2016. Special emphasis is placed on recruiting self-motivated candidates with a solid background in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering, with experience in inorganic synthesis, catalysis and/or related fields that is reflected in a strong publication record. The successful candidate will experimentally work on optimizing photo-catalytic behaviors of complex oxides, in collaboration with simulation members of the group. Applicants should possess the following qualifications or attributes: (a) GRE 310+, TOEFL 100+ (b) a fundamental understanding of inorganic chemistry, photo-catalysis and thermodynamics (c) an interest in working in an interdisciplinary research environment If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this position, please provide by email Dr. Wang (wangbu@ucla.edu) a detailed resume and your publications.
