As a typical example, NiFe-LDHs with conductive matrices (e.g. carbon nanotubes and graphene) have been widely investigated with superior activities over either of the parent metal catalysts and comparable to the best noble catalysts (e.g. IrO2 and RuO2) for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER),which is a key component for a number of energy storage and conversion processes. By the incorporation of a certain amount of Mn into the LDH laminate, the one-pot synthesized ternary NiFeMn-LDH with a layered structure (Fig. 1A) demonstrated an advanced OER performance, affording a low overpotential of B289 mV at the current density of 20 mA cm2, a small Tafel slope (~47 mV dec1), and a stable operation for over 15 h, much superior to the NiFe-LDH and commercial Ir/C catalysts. The catalysts were uniformly cast onto a macroporous carbon fiber paper substrate with a mass-loading of ~0.2 mg cm2, and the IR-corrected OER polarization curves were recorded at a slow scan rate of 1 mV s1 to minimize capacitive current after tens of cyclic voltammetric scans to reach a relatively stable state. 譯完必有重謝！ |
