Postdoctoral Research Fellow
|
Postdoctoral Research Fellow Institute of Integrated Bioinformedicine and Translational Science (IBTS) in Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) invites applications for the “Postdoctoral Research Fellow” in Bioinformatics, Chemoinformatics, Systems biology or Molecular Pharmacology supervised by IBTS. Qualification: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related equivalent experience, and should have demonstrated a record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals of high international reputation in related fields. Experience in big data analysis / computer modeling / chemoinformatics, pharmacology or computer aided drug discovery will be considered an asset. Expertise in sequencing data analysis are required. Duty: Successful candidates are expected to perform an independent research program within research focus of IBTS for drug discovery. The major duty is to conduct a variety of complex and independent investigations in the planning and development of original research proposal within the overall scope of the IBTS for funding application. On the other hand, the duty is also defined to design mathematical/bioinformatics protocols, collect, analyze and report drug associated experimental data, and create and maintain accurate and timely records of test results, and assist in the publication of research findings. Offer: Initial appointment for the successful candidates will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
