第一個(gè)審稿意見提了格式上的小問題,建議接收。這是第二個(gè)審稿意見,求幫助,我是不是要換條件重做整個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn),如果證明高電位下,電流不是電催化導(dǎo)致的,行不行?![]() ![]() In this manuscript, the authors investigate the role of Co-Pi as cocatalyst in improving the PEC performance of hematite. The obtained experimental results indicated the roles of Co-Pi on hematite are potential-dependent. Coated with Co-Pi, the catalytic activity was improved at low potentials. Instead, surface recombination was inhibited by Co-Pi at high applied potentials. I agree with the authors that there is no solid evidence that Co-Pi actually participates in water oxidation reaction, it is important to clarify the function of this easy prepared cocatalyst. However, the PEC performance obtained by the authors are extremely low, with an onset at 1 V vs RHE. As a result, applied potentials higher than 1.23 V vs RHE were used for their impedance experiments and light on-off experiments. I wonder at such high potentials whether it is a light-induced or electricity-induced water oxidation. I suggest the authors to optimize the conditions for water oxidation in order to improve the related PEC performance, i.e. reducing the applied potential needed for oxygen evolution. One possible approach is that running the PEC reaction under alkaline conditions. |
