2021 Fall Ph.D. positions at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Dr. Ruoyu You.

Dr. Ruoyu You, an Assistant Professor from Department of Building Services Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is recruiting full-time Ph.D. students for the following research directions: 1. Airflow distribution and contaminant transport in enclosed environments 2. Development and application of advanced measurement technologies for indoor air quality Both research directions require experimental measurements and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling. Expected start date: September 01, 2021 Candidates with strong background in Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, or other related areas are preferred. The Ph.D. students will be funded with full studentship. English requirements: An overall score of at least 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 or above for the Internet-based test. She received her Ph.D. degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in 2018. Dr. You joined the Department of Building Services Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an Assistant Professor in September, 2018. Her research interests include air quality in enclosed environments, computational fluid dynamics, contaminant transport, and laser-based sensors for indoor air quality.
