趙博博士于2011年獲得中國(guó)科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)近代力學(xué)系學(xué)士學(xué)位,2016年于佐治亞理工學(xué)院機(jī)械工程系取得博士學(xué)位,2017年加入斯坦福大學(xué)電子工程系從事博士后研究至今。 趙博博士主要從事熱輻射、微納尺度光子學(xué)以及相關(guān)領(lǐng)域研究。曾經(jīng)在國(guó)際上首次提出用于新能源轉(zhuǎn)換的光電耦合轉(zhuǎn)換電路,發(fā)現(xiàn)了拓?fù)洳牧现写蚱苹鶢柣舴蜉椛涠傻臒彷椛涮匦,?shí)驗(yàn)上實(shí)現(xiàn)了超越于黑體輻射極限10倍以上的大面積近場(chǎng)輻射換熱增強(qiáng),并提出多種至今仍然在多項(xiàng)指標(biāo)上保持記錄的高性能光子引擎(光子熱電轉(zhuǎn)換裝置)。研究成果發(fā)表于自然通訊,美國(guó)國(guó)家科學(xué)院院刊,納米快報(bào),國(guó)際傳熱傳質(zhì)等。 本實(shí)驗(yàn)室歡迎感興趣的各種背景同學(xué),包括熱科學(xué),力學(xué),光學(xué),物理學(xué)或材料科學(xué)等。請(qǐng)將CV寄送 趙博博士 (bzhao8@uh.edu)。 The Zhao Group (https://energyzhao.github.io/) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston has two Ph.D. openings starting from Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. Dr. Bo Zhao received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2011. He joined Professor Zhuomin Zhang’s group at Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2016. He is now working with Professor Shanhui Fan at Stanford University as a postdoctoral research associate. Dr. Zhao’s research interests are broadly thermal radiation, nanophotonics, energy conversion, electronics, plasmonics, 2D materials, and numerical design. His recent works have been published in leading journals, including Nature Communications, PNAS, Nano Letters, Advanced Optical Materials, and International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. Current research directions include but not limited to • Thermal photonics and plasmonics • Photon-mediated heat engines and refrigerators • Electronic and photonic circuits • Radiative properties: tunability, nonreciprocity, topology, and beyond • Enhanced radiative heat transfer • Photon chemical potential and light emission from nonequilibrium bodies For interested students with a background in thermal science, optics, photonics, physics, material science, or related areas, please email your CV directly to Dr. Zhao (bzhao8@uh.edu).
