I am currently looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students to join my research group at Texas State University in the MSEC program with full support (around $34000/year). If you believe to be an exceptional candidate interested in the ultrawide band-gap semiconductor field, please feel free to contact me at ahaque@txstate.edu. Advantages: 1. Research in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary and innovative fields of importance to both industry and academia. Participation in scientific consortia and national-lab collaborations. 2. Opportunity to work in the state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities. 3. Publishing in high-profile journals. 4. Rapidly growing area, with many high-tech companies and start-ups around. 5. Very attractive salary / cost of living ratio. 6. GRE requirement can be waived for candidates with outstanding profile, however, TOEFL/IELTS is required for international students. Two openings for Ph.D. students are currently available. Interested candidates should email their updated CV and a brief description of their interests. My research is multi-disciplinary (with a focus on the fabrication, characterization, and device aspects of ultrawide-bandgap semiconductors) and prospective students must possess similar areas of interest.
