university of colorado denver: phd positions in fall 2022 or spring 2023 科羅拉多大學丹佛分校機械學院dong教授招聘博士,同時歡迎csc資助的博士生和交換學生申請交流學習 intelligent design and manufacturing (idm) lab in the department of mechanical engineering the mission of the idm lab is to explore digital and intelligent manufacturing and design technologies that can accelerate the product design cycle and improve life-cycle performance. the research topics include advanced manufacturing and materials innovation, computational and multidisciplinary design, finite element analysis (fea), product-process co-design, ai for design and manufacturing, etc. lab director: dr. guoying dong dr. guoying dong joined the department of mechanical engineering at cu denver as an assistant processor in november 2021. dr. dong received his ph.d. degree from the department of mechanical engineering at mcgill university in 2019. he worked as a research fellow in the digital manufacturing and design center (dmand) at the singapore university of technology and design (sutd) from 2019 to 2021. the research interests are design for additive manufacturing (dfam), computer-aided engineering (cae) and artificial intelligence (ai). description of the positions: idm lab is looking for potential students who are pursuing a ph.d. degree. this position is fully funded. the research topics include but not limited to 1. study the mechanical properties of heterogeneous materials made by additive manufacturing. 2. develop optimization algorithms to design functional structures that have unique properties for energy absorption, thermal expansion, weight reduction, etc. 3. machine learning assisted design and optimization. preferred qualifications: 1. hold or will hold a master degree in mechanical engineering, materials, computer science, or other related major. 2. have strong background in solid mechanics. good coding skills are preferred. 3. have experience in additive manufacturing, finite element analysis, computer-aided design, and machine learning. 4. cae/cad software: abaqus, hyperworks, rhino. 5. python, matlab. contact: interested applicants please send (1) cv, (2) transcript, (3) english test (if applicable), (4) publication (if any) to guoying.dong@ucdenver.edu application information: https://engineering.ucdenver.edu ... nical-engineering-4 department website: https://engineering.ucdenver.edu ... hanical-engineering ps. gre score is not necessary in the 2022 application year ielts overall score 6.5 reading 5.5 listening 5.5 speaking 5.5 writing 5.5 or toefl ibt overall score 79 reading 18 listening 17 speaking 20 writing 17 歡迎投遞簡歷,Dr. Dong課題組繼續(xù)接收Ph.D.申請。 |
