【申請deadline 7月4日】我校教授正在招一名phd,三年制(需要有碩士學(xué)位才能申),免除學(xué)費(fèi)(由于是私立學(xué)校,本身學(xué)費(fèi)第一年9000,之后兩年每年4500),每年15,500獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金,另有1000左右搬遷補(bǔ)助,大概80%時(shí)間是做課題,20%是做助教。教授劍橋出身,人非常nice&supportive(我與他合作過,可以保證),且口語非常好,毫無口音(南歐口音真的很致幻)之前為聯(lián)合國開發(fā)計(jì)劃署undp工作(他的上一位ra去了world bank),目前是副教授,也是我們課題組的leader,affiliated劍橋,當(dāng)前招生課題與undp合作,招生不僅限于經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)(economics, sociology, anthropology, environmental studies, development studies, land economy, demography, psychology, political science, education, health, gender studies, etc)。
以我個(gè)人經(jīng)驗(yàn),一個(gè)phd職位的優(yōu)劣主要有四個(gè)維度:導(dǎo)師能力與人品、課題質(zhì)量、學(xué)校名氣、地理位置(關(guān)乎3-4年的宜居性,畢竟讀博很致郁,尤其換個(gè)文化背景全然不同的地方,但巴塞羅那真的華人多、氣候好還有中餐外賣。。這個(gè)職位唯一的缺點(diǎn)就是學(xué)校論知名度在國內(nèi)查無此校,times綜排也剛夠上500(歐陸高校相較英美排名普遍不給力),但本校在社科和商科方面還不錯(cuò)(可以查一下qs和arwu的專排;學(xué)校本身是商學(xué)院,課題組內(nèi)教授背景一半社科一半商科,導(dǎo)師本人經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)出身但做的東西偏交叉學(xué)科)。對(duì)于想來歐洲讀博又不想走csc的同學(xué)(西班牙社科全獎(jiǎng)機(jī)會(huì)一向少得可憐,自打20年疫情起就更不用說了),不妨考慮一下(導(dǎo)師對(duì)中國學(xué)生印象很好,能更公平地評(píng)估),申請需要一封2000字以內(nèi)的research proposal,詳情請見https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/799679
what is the general project?
leaving no one behind (lnob) is the most comprehensive and transformative commitment of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and its sustainable development goals (sdgs). it is based on the ethical principles of equality, non-discrimination and equity (undp. 2021). it originated from a widespread acknowledgement that the poorest and the most marginalized are being excluded from development. it builds on the lessons of the millennium development goals (mdgs) that relied on the use of statistical averages and national aggregates, hiding entrenched structural inequalities and the persistence of multiple forms of discrimination against the most vulnerable.
the lnob research agenda is first and foremost a program for the operationalization of all sdgs taking into account the best interests of those marginalised and furthest left behind in the development process. it is about the use of disaggregated data by income, sex, age, race, ethnicity, migration status, disability, geographic location and any other characteristics relevant to exclude people from more equitable forms of development. it is also about the introduction of innovative measures and techniques that will allow us to identify how different societies are considering (or not) the interests of their most vulnerable citizens. it should also tackle ‘real-time monitoring’ (higher frequency data) that can address the needs of the most vulnerable when they are hit by diverse hazards.
the key issue to be faced by sdgs today is fast-track progress for those left furthest behind. this perspective mobilises right now the best efforts of the whole united nations system as well as the core of international organisations such as the world bank. translating the principles of leaving no one behind (lnob) into concrete action demands facing several operational and practical challenges. a good account of lnob should start with grounding it on political philosophy principles, moving forward with the use of indicators, innovative tools and techniques for gathering and systematising information about the poor and the non-poor. |
