Novel MRI hardware development; 實驗室的研究方向是磁共振高端醫(yī)療器械和系統(tǒng)開發(fā),即高性能醫(yī)療器械創(chuàng)新。開發(fā)并應(yīng)用可轉(zhuǎn)換的磁共振成像新技術(shù)(MRI),來解決臨床上未被滿足的需求,研究范圍涵蓋從大腦到心臟對人體各器官的成像。研究生會進(jìn)入一個新的快速發(fā)展中的MRI分支領(lǐng)域,加入一個高度創(chuàng)新和交叉性學(xué)科的科研團(tuán)隊。研究生會接受全面的訓(xùn)練,學(xué)習(xí)和掌握MRI的諸多方面,如磁共振原理,數(shù)據(jù)圖像采集和處理包括使用AI,高級磁共振技術(shù)開發(fā)以及在人體和患者上的臨床應(yīng)用。研究方向廣,目前研究側(cè)重于新技術(shù)在人體中的應(yīng)用。 近年來,醫(yī)工結(jié)合中國創(chuàng)新的探討和實踐變得活躍,例如國家高性能醫(yī)療器械創(chuàng)新中心的建立。強(qiáng)調(diào)高端醫(yī)療器械制造業(yè),突破前沿技術(shù),推動醫(yī)工交叉融合創(chuàng)新發(fā)展,提升醫(yī)療器械產(chǎn)業(yè)創(chuàng)新能力。 另外,醫(yī)學(xué)影像有望成為AI最先實現(xiàn)突破的少數(shù)幾個領(lǐng)域之一,是top AI startups一流人工智能創(chuàng)新公司的主攻領(lǐng)域。博士生的研究方向側(cè)重軟硬件結(jié)合。 【PI介紹】 韓教授是美國西達(dá)賽奈醫(yī)療中心磁共振工程實驗室主任。韓教授的學(xué)術(shù)任職包括:國際華人醫(yī)學(xué)磁共振學(xué)會 (OCSMRM) 侯任主席,國際磁共振工程學(xué)組(ISMRM MR Engineering Study Group)侯任主席。韓教授是磁共振工程和技術(shù)領(lǐng)域公認(rèn)的開拓者和領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者。他首先提出的下一代MRI線圈技術(shù),已被世界許多一流的研究組所采納,包括哈佛和麻省理工,斯坦福,UC伯克利,凱斯西儲大學(xué),GE和Siemens醫(yī)療等;也是美國白宮“腦計劃” (BRAIN Initiative) 關(guān)于"下一代人類大腦成像器械和技術(shù)”的一個重要的在研方向, 是多個千萬美元級別NIH在研課題的核心創(chuàng)新要件之一。韓教授最近獲選國際醫(yī)學(xué)磁共振學(xué)會(ISMRM)磁共振工程學(xué)組侯任主席,是近十多年獲選的唯一華人,該學(xué)組圍繞磁共振高端器械,是歷史最長人數(shù)最多的ISMRM學(xué)組之一,目前有來自約50個國家的600多位會員。https://baike.baidu.com/item/人類大腦計劃/15681332 【實驗室科研介紹】 實驗室坐落在洛杉磯西好萊塢的標(biāo)志性建筑太平洋設(shè)計中心,有超過200平方米的面積和一流設(shè)施。韓教授目前主持美國國家衛(wèi)生院(NIH)的三個在研課題,包括兩個R01課題。實驗室目前是全美磁共振工程領(lǐng)域獲NIH基金資助力度最大的實驗室之一。最新兩個R01課題分別獲得1%和3%的高分。近期實驗室的一篇投稿在Nature Biomedical Engineering (期刊影響因子29)修改中。實驗室工作,受到行業(yè)包括GE, Philips, Siemens (GPS)等國際影像巨頭的密切關(guān)注。實驗室在引領(lǐng)一個新興的分支方向,該方向被業(yè)界認(rèn)為是會改變整個MRI的主要方向之一 (one of three areas“what is cool, hot, & needed in MRI”that will shape the field in the future)。他也多次被通用醫(yī)療和西門子醫(yī)療邀請講座,包括被通用磁共振威斯康辛州總部以及西門子德國總部邀請,討論磁共振將來的發(fā)展方向。 Interested applicants please contact: Professor Hui Han Director of MR Engineering Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (A teaching hospital affiliate of UCLA) 8700 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048 Email: hui.han@cshs.org https://researchers.cedars-sinai.edu/Hui.Han Prof. Han is Director of MRI Engineering at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which is a teaching hospital affiliate of UCLA and is a world-leading academic medical center and ranks #2 nationally on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll. The Han lab is recruiting a few PhD students (all fully funded) who will be enrolled in the Department of Bioengineering by September 2023. The candidates will join a highly innovative and interdisciplinary research program and work in a new exciting, fast-growing field of MRI. The students will receive a comprehensive training on several aspects of MRI including MRI principles, data & image acquisition and processing including ML/DL/AI, advanced MRI technical development and clinical application. Interest and experiences in hardware development are a plus but are not required. Our research focus is to develop translational MRI techniques and tools for unmet clinical needs in imaging throughout the human body from brain to heart. The Han Lab comprises a newly constructed lab space (2,000 sq. ft.) in the iconic Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and a secondary lab space (150 sq. ft.) in Imaging Core Facility. Dr. Han is recognized as a pioneer and international leader in the field of MRI Engineering. Groundbreaking MRI technology he proposed has been adapted by many world-leading research groups including Harvard/MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Case Western, GE and Siemens HealthCare. The technology is also one of key innovations in multiple ongoing large-scale, the White House BRAIN Initiative projects across the country on “Development of Next Generation Human Brain Imaging Tools and Technologies”. Dr. Han is currently the Principal Investigator of 3 major NIH awards. Innovation of his work is partly evidenced by two highly scored R01 awards: one R01 project on improving cardiovascular imaging, and the other on brain imaging. His lab is one of the most funded labs by NIH in the US in his field. Dr. Han is the President-elect of the Overseas Chinese Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (OCSMRM) to be installed in 2023. The OCSMRM is a nonprofit professional association established in 1989, which is comprised of clinicians, physicists, engineers, biochemists, and technologists of Chinese descent throughout the world. He is also the Chair-elect of the ISMRM MR Engineering Study Group to be installed in 2023, one of the largest MR Study Groups comprising over 600 members from about 50 countries. ISMRM is the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. One of manuscripts from his lab is currently under revision at a prestigious journal Nature Biomedical Engineering (IF = 29).
