PolyU: Optics and Optical Engineering, Physics, Automation, EECS

Hong Kong Polytechnic University is recruiting PhD students/ Postdoc. Major: Optics and Optical Engineering, Physics, Automation, EECS, etc. Research area: Smart nano manufacturing by ultrafast laser; ultrafast spectroscopy; computational and quantum imaging; development of semiconductor lithography, bonding, and metrology equipment; diffractive optical elements, metasurfaces and metalenses, etc. Lab: The group currently owns or has ordered five to six sets of femtosecond lasers and OPAs with wavelengths ranging from 300 nm to 1550 nm and pulse energies ranging from 1 nJ to 1 mJ; two picosecond laser processing centers (Triumph, Coherent); three sets of UV to near-infrared spectrometers; single-longitudinal-mode and other special CW lasers; various SLM and DMDs, precision multi-axis translation stages from aerotech, Newport, piezoconcept, smaract, multifield; Scanlab/ CTI galvo and Linos/ thorlabs f-theta lens of different wavelengths; tens of APO objective lenses; Leica and Nikon microscopes; NILT Nanoimprinter; Nanoscribe; and ample fundings for all your research needs. PI: Dr. Wen Xiewen (Sitman), Assistant Professor at the Department of ISE of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), Presidential Young Scholar. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the U.S. National Laboratory and had obtained awards from the National Young Talent Program and the U.S. Distinguished Talent Program. He also received his Ph.D. from one of the top 20 universities in the US. Additionally, there are special direct recruitment quota that may be taken into consideration in special situations. Candidates for post-doctoral positions should be relevant to their research interests. They will be assessed based on their academic standing, job history, and performance during the interview. |
