Fully Funded PhD Opportunities in Smart Manufacturing
|

ranked among the world’s best university (qs ranking: 37th, us news ranking: 35th), the intelligent digital manufacturing and design (i-dmd) lab at monash university is seeking driven and talented phd candidates. these positions are fully funded by research grants in the areas of digital twin of smart manufacturing systems and smart human-machine collaboration projects. our research spectrum at i-dmd, we engage in cutting-edge research across vital sectors such as aerospace, bio-medical, energy, and advanced manufacturing. our focus areas include: advanced additive manufacturing processes smart product design and manufacturing digital twin-driven human-machine collaborations global and local industrial collaborations and state-of-the-art facilities we pride ourselves on robust international industrial collaborations across the u.s., china, canada, singapore, and australia. you’ll have access to world-class facilities at the monash centre for additive manufacturing and the newly established monash digital twin manufacturing labs at monash innovations, equipped with mobile collaborative robots, advanced sensors, vr/ar devices, and the latest digital infrastructures. research opportunities we currently have several fully funded phd positions co-funded by local industry and australian funding agencies. these positions focus on developing digital twin systems that enable smart scheduling and quality control of manufacturing systems. preferred candidates will have research experience in areas such as manufacturing system modelling, human-robot collaboration, predictive maintenance, manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing scheduling, databases, and cad/cam. scholarships and funding full scholarships supported by research funding are available. apply now embark on your research journey with us! to apply, please contact dr. yunlong tang with your research interest and cv. email: yunlong.tang1@monash.edu |
