清華大學(xué)高等研究院 研究生高級(jí)課程 Title：An introduction to topological order Speaker：文小剛教授 美國(guó)麻省理工學(xué)院 Date：Dec. 21 (Mon), Dec. 23 (Wed) and Dec. 28 (Mon) 每晚19:30開始 Venue：Conference Hall 322，Science Building/清華大學(xué)高等研究院（科學(xué)館）322 報(bào)告廳 This is a class for graduate students. The class will meet three times, for 1-1.5 hour each time followed by 0.5-1 hour free informal discussions. The class outline: 1) What is phases and phase transitions 2) Are all phases described by order parameters and symmetry breaking? 3) New states of matter and topological order 4) Topological order and long range entanglements 5) How to physically probe topological orders 6) Calculate topological order from ideal wave functions a) FQH states and non-Abelian FQH states b) Spin liquid and symmetry protected topological orders c) String-net condensation and tensor category theory 7)* Calculate topological order from Hamiltonian/Lagrangian(* if time permits) a) Tensor network representation of path integral b) Renormalization of tensor network and fixed-point tensors c) Topological fixed-point tensors and topological order Welcome! 歡迎參加！ |
