Many people believe that today there is a general increase in anti-social behaviours and lack of respect for others. What might have caused this situation? And how to improve it? The problem of a general increase in anti-social behaviors and lack of respect for others has caused wide public concern over the recent years. Many youngsters are being affected by these activities which have unfavorable effects on social development, harmony and stability. According to my opinion, the problem is caused by a variety of reasons. Firstly, parents overlook their children’s ethic education. Along with the development of society, parents have to spend more time on their work and sometimes they seem to fail to take into account the fact that offspring’s’ education is extremely important for families’ harmony. Moreover, schools play another important role in children’ education. Teachers pay too much attention to students’ study and ignore how to cultivate ethics of students. Last but not the least, huge numbers of evidences have proved that programs on TV have extremely negative impacts on children. Many violence and sanguinary activities on TV lead children to own unhealthy philosophy and outlook. Children like to imitate those anti-social behaviors on TV programs. Proper measures should be taken to settle this problem. One of the most effective steps is that parents spend more time and pay more attention to their children’ ethic behaviors, then let children know the importance of virtue. Secondly, teachers should not only teach their students knowledge but also educate students how to do the right behaviors. Thirdly, more positive TV programs and right guidance on mass media can exert favorable effects on children’s growth. From what I have analyzed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that diverse reasons caused this problem. And we should take effective measures to change this situation. |
