我想聯(lián)系us老板做訪問學(xué)者，一個多月來郵件交流了一些想法，這老板說我的生活費(fèi)有點(diǎn)少，我就解釋了一番，說沒問題，前幾天感覺就要同意了，昨天又來信如下，我感覺是不是有點(diǎn)婉拒的意思，還是他確實(shí)不知道訪問學(xué)者的程序，現(xiàn)在我不知道該怎么回復(fù)了，請大家?guī)臀页龀鲋饕�，謝謝！ I've made a few inquiries and the University can assist with visa requirements and there are basically two different approaches to coming to the US. There is a visitor request but this is only typically good for an individual (not a family) and for six months. The more standard approach is to obtain a J-1 visa. This process is initiated by the university with a letter from me. However, it also requires proof of income and requires that you have health insurance that meets certain requirements. I looked over the health insurance requirements and I did something similar to this for a recent extended stay in ***using a travel health insurance but I'm not sure what would be available to you coming to the US. So those are the areas to start looking at the paperwork. There would certainly be some additional costs associated with the insurance so that requirement in particular warrants a close look. Let me know what you think & then we can go from there. If you do think it's still feasible, we should discuss your interests and work requirements in a little more detail to make sure the work situation would work well for you. |
