【Leisure chat】Thanks, my senior! 已有12人參與

This is the first time I write something here. I expect everybody can point out the wrong in my poster, thank you. And I want to express my gratitude for the help my senior gave me in the past half of a year. And I don't know how to write "學(xué)長(zhǎng)" in English, take "senior" as substitution. Please tell me the right one. Since I chose to work for a doctoral degree, I found everything is not as easy as I have imagined before I didn't experience. The most miserable thing for me is that hardly anybody gave me a hand when I was in trouble of learning. You are your own teacher—this is the sentences I often speak to myself. However, in fact, one’s ability is limited, not mention that I am not a smart one. I have nothing but to accept the truth. This kind of situation last about1.5 years until last semester a senior who studied abroad in Japan for 2 years returned. And things changed a little, to a positive aspect. Although there is difference for the research interests between us, he could always give me some useful advise when I ask for a help, which was sometimes so good that even beyond my imagination. Good feeling to have someone to communicate and discuss when entering into dead. Maybe several words or a simple reminder will create a bright road with less detours on the way of progress. Although I know if I want to succeed I have to rely on myself instead of anyone else, I am sure that it is never an alone road when I work for my final goal. And his serious spirit of working hard also inspires me. An example is just in front of you, I know what I should do! Thanks, my senior. |

| As everybody said, I am lucky. My major is the vibration of hydroelectric generating, which is closely connected with actual engineering instead of theory. So for us it is rather difficult to publish papers in SCI journals, even some good teachers or tutors have the chance for publishing only one or two papers a year, or even more longer. However, my senior issued two in the past year, it is definitely a wonderful achievement. He ever said to me "XX, anything as long as I know, ask me, it is no problem to tell you without reservation". It is a liitle shame and pity for me, because my present academic level hasn't reached that standard of discussing with him for advanced content. I am keen of learning more from my senior before my he graduates from college. Hurry up! Come on! |
