主編讓我把文章縮短為2頁,到底什么意思？ 已有16人參與

各位蟲友，剛投稿5天，誰成想主編回信： >We are pleased to inform you that your paper falls within the scope of the Journal and has been deemed to be of potential interest for the readers of Journal of ***. However, due to the considerably restrictive nature of the type of wastes described and the limited geographic area concerned, we would like to request that the paper be shortened to 7 double-spaced manuscript pages (corresponding to 2 printed journal pages), including tables and figures, without abstract and containing only 2-3 references. The article in the above format could then be deemed suitable for potential publication in the newly established column "A Glance at the World". Please note that articles accepted for this column are not forwarded into the peer review process and will not appear on the ISI web of science. 如果這樣發(fā)表，我這篇文章算論文還是短訊呢？屬于SCI期刊到底有什么標志嗎？我畢業(yè)還要SCI文章呢，把文章先發(fā)到這個欄目有什么意義呢，會不會影響我將文章修改后投稿到其它期刊呢?
