Do you agree or disagree?” (金錢有限，所以應(yīng)只將錢用于科學(xué)研究而非其他不太有用的專業(yè)，同意嗎？) 一看only就知道這個(gè)說法不太對(duì)。太絕對(duì)了。 不過這題難就難在: 考生能否想到將 scientific research 和 research for less useful subjects 具體化，說明是它們分別是那些具體學(xué)科，它們又都有什么樣的作用�？脊傧矚g內(nèi)容具體的作文，這一點(diǎn)很重要。千萬不能只是放放空炮。 文章結(jié)構(gòu)和以前講過的很多文章(如:大學(xué)生應(yīng)該多學(xué)理論的學(xué)科還是實(shí)際的學(xué)科，上大學(xué)的目的是為了學(xué)知識(shí)還是為了找工作，重視文科還是多學(xué)理科等等)一樣，可以用對(duì)稱式或是一邊倒,只不過靈活地?fù)Q一下觀點(diǎn)而已： 1. 科學(xué)研究很重要（舉例說明，如研究space technology,computer science, cloning technology, medical research等等，這些研究可以 greatly improve our modern life, cure diseases, prolong our life span and make greater contributions to our society，科學(xué)研究我個(gè)人理解應(yīng)該是關(guān)于理科的研究），所以它need money,這是肯定的和必要的。 2. 不過 financial support only be provided for scientific research 也太過份了。less useful subject當(dāng)然也need a certain amount of money for research,只是一個(gè)錢多錢少的問題。除了科學(xué)研究重要, 其它科目（主要是人文學(xué)科）的研究也重要,也是useful and make contribution to our life, 可以舉例說明(比方說研究文化，研究語言的學(xué)科，研究藝術(shù)、考古、歷史、地理和音樂的學(xué)科，這些研究同樣可enrich our knowledge and life.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 有必要投資于太空科技的開發(fā)嗎？Research into space technology brings many benefits such as improved medical technology. However, some people are of the opinion that the money should be spent on providing for the needs of the poor. Where do you stand on this issue? Space technology is technology that is related to spaceflight(宇宙飛行), satellite and entering space. It is sophisticated (復(fù)雜的) and its research involves （涉及） huge investment. That is why many people frown on（不喜歡） such expensive space activities and hold that we’d better spend the money on helping the needy people. However, I can hardly share their views because these people fail to realize the great benefits and changes brought about by space technology. In the past decades, many space technologies have been transferred （轉(zhuǎn)移） to applications（運(yùn)用，應(yīng)用） on Earth. Take satellite as an example. Our telecommunication network is dependent on the satellites circling（圍繞...旋轉(zhuǎn)) our globe. Without satellites, our mobile phones, Internet, faxes and remote （遠(yuǎn)程的，遙遠(yuǎn)的） medical services would become useless. Also with the broadcast satellites, we are able to watch thousands of TV stations. Also with the GPS satellites, we can pinpoint（查找） our location （位置）accurately（精確地）. As an added bonus（好處，獎(jiǎng)金）, weather satellites allow us to direct（指引） our lives because we are no longer in the dark about major meteorological（氣候的）/climatic events like hurricanes or cyclones（龍卷風(fēng)）. Besides the above direct benefits, there are also many other different benefits derived（被得到） from space technologies. In fact, these benefits are felt indirectly in our everyday life. For example, the simple microwave device （裝置）that we use and enjoy in our kitchens today was derived（源于，得到） from a NASA program to allow astronauts to heat their pre-cooked （預(yù)先煮過的） meals. Turning our attention to simple thermo （保溫瓶） that we use to keep coffee warm, the cooler boxes taken to our picnic, or the fire-resisting（抗火的） cloth, they were all derived from the insulation（絕緣） techniques of space technology of the 1960s.
