| A modified Euler-Lotka equation was used to calculate a population-level endpoint, the intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm), from individual life-table endpoints, i.e. mortality rate, time of release of first brood, sex ratio, the fraction of ovigerous females among all females as well as the number of nauplii per ovigerous female. The second highest musk ketone concentration (0.1 mg/l) was the only treatment, which significantly affected rm (***P<0.001). At the highest musk ketone (0.3 mg/l) and Celestolide(TM) (0.3 mg/l) concentrations, all copepods were dead at the end of the exposures. This shows that a sensitive individual life-table endpoint is protective over the population-level endpoint rm. Though we think that it is necessary to obtain population-level endpoints from standardised toxicity test, for ecologically successful risk characterisation of synthetic musks as well as other chemicals. The results from the present study show that it is possible to obtain population-level data from the full life-cycle test with N. spinipes. However, there seems to be little risk that synthetic musks are harmful to copepods at present environmental concentrations. |

| 根據(jù)個體生命表終點,即死亡率,首批子代釋放時間,性別比率,全部雌體中產(chǎn)卵雌體數(shù)和每一產(chǎn)卵雌體中無節(jié)幼蟲數(shù),利用修改后的Euler-Lotka公式計算種群水平的終點,固有自然生長率(rm)。僅用次高濃度的麝香酮(0.1mg/l)處理,發(fā)現(xiàn)會明顯影響rm值(***P<0.001)。使用最高濃度的麝香酮(0.3mg/l)和Celestolide(TM,一種多環(huán)麝香)(0.3mg/l)照射后,撓足蟲完全死亡,表明敏感的個體生命表終點相對于種群水平終點的自然生長率更具防護性。盡管我們認為有必要根據(jù)標準化毒性測試來獲取種群水平終點,但在生態(tài)方面,對于合成麝香與其他化學試劑的風險鑒定是成功的。目前的研究結(jié)果表明,通過N. spinipes的完整生命周期測試來獲取種群水平的數(shù)據(jù)是可行的。然而,在當前的環(huán)境濃度下,合成的麝香對于撓足蟲有害,似乎仍有可能。 |
