I gave you life, but cannot live it for you. I can give you directions, but I cannot be there to lead you. I can take you to church, but I cannot make you believe. I can give you love, but I cannot force it upon you. 我給了你生命，但我不能為你而活。 我能夠給你的人生指明方向，但我不能為你領(lǐng)航。 我可以帶你去教堂，但我不能改變你的信仰。 我可以給你買漂亮的衣服，但我不能給你內(nèi)在的美。 我可以給你愛，但我不能把愛強(qiáng)加于你。 I can teach you to share, but I cannot make you unselfish. I can teach you respect, but I cannot force you to show honor. I can advise you about friends, but I cannot choose them for you. | Mothers give us lives. But some people won't cherish their lives, which is a pity! I often think about the meaning or value of life, which brings me great grief in the end. I seems quite true that before becoming a beautiful butterfly, a worm has to stand the pain in the dark cocoon. But I won't give up! |
