Structural proteins of the eggshell are shown to share many similarities to human fibrinogen such as number of monomers, molecular weight, amino acid contents and cross links between each other. Hardening of fish eggshell proteins after fertilization is essentially the same process as blood coagulation and the enzymatic digestion by Zonase provides skin regeneration.
