AEM投稿的一個問題

| 最近投了一篇AEM，審稿審了兩個月，緊接著又pending了三個星期，終于有結(jié)果了，editor的意見是要求修改，都是一些小問題，但文章是以Note Format的形式接收（原話是I agree with the reviewer' suggestion that this study should be presented as Note format)，我不太懂，note format的形式和一般的AEM文章有什么不同，這一種形式的文章怎么樣，值不值得投稿？還望各位同仁指導(dǎo)一二，不甚感激！ |

| 當(dāng)然值得投! AEM是老牌的微生物學(xué)雜志, 在微生物領(lǐng)域有很高的聲譽(yù). 樓主應(yīng)該指short-form format吧, 這種格式比較短, 所有內(nèi)容在一起, 不需要區(qū)分introduction, Materials and Methods, results和discussion. 建議可以參考類似的AEM文章. 祝好運 |

Short-Form Papers The short-form format is intended for the presentation of brief observations that do not warrant full-length papers. Submit short-form papers in the same way as full-length papers. They receive the same review, they are not published more rapidly than full-length papers, and they are not considered preliminary communications. The title, running title (not to exceed 54 characters and spaces), byline, and correspondent footnote should be prepared as for the long-form paper. Each short-form paper must have an abstract of no more than 50 words. Do not use section headings in the body of the paper; combine methods, results, and discussion in a single section. Paragraph lead-ins are permissible. The text should be kept to a minimum and, if possible, should not exceed 1,000 words; the number of figures and tables should also be kept to a minimum. Materials and methods should be described in the text, not in figure legends or table footnotes. Present acknowledgments as in longform papers, but do not use a heading. The References section is identical to that of long-form papers. |
