PhD Scholarship 2 University PhD Studentships in the Faculty of Health and Social Care University of Hull To celebrate the University's research successes, the University of Hull is offering one UK/EU PhD Scholarship and one International Fees Bursary in the following broad academic areas of the Faculty of Health and Social Care. •Social Aspects of Cancer •Global Health •Sociology of Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine •Reproductive Health Applications that crosscut any of these above themes will also be considered. Closing date Tuesday 31st May 2011; Studentships will start in September 2011 Supervisors: Phil Tovey, Professor of Health and Wellbeing, 01482 464653 p.tovey@hull.ac.uk Julie Jomeen, Professor of Midwifery, 01482 464618 j.jomeen@hull.ac.uk Visit www.hull.ac.uk/phd to download a copy of the application form. This full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarship will include fees at the 'home/EU' student rate and maintenance (13,590 pounds in 2011/12, subject to final confirmation) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress. Full-time International Fee PhD Studentships will include full fees at the International student rate for three years, dependant on satisfactory progress. PhD students at the University of Hull follow modules for research and transferable skills development and gain a Masters level Certificate, or Diploma, in Research Training, in addition to their research degree. Successful applicants will be informed of the award by 11th July. |
