Crystal Growth & Design小修后被拒，大家?guī)臀曳治鲆幌略趺椿厥?

前一段時間我投了一篇Crystal Growth & Design，第一次修改是大修，我修改后，編輯又讓我小修，小修時編輯和審稿人的回信是這樣的 The reviews for your manuscript are enclosed with this letter. Please consider the reviewers' comments. They have raised points that require consideration and revision of the manuscript before it is suitable for publication. However, with adequate response and revision, the manuscript should be acceptable for publication in Crystal Growth & Design. We would like to receive your revision as soon as possible, 90 days at the latest. We look forward to seeing your paper in Crystal Growth & Design. Reviewer: 2 Recommendation: Publish after minor revision. Comments: In this revised version, the authors have taken into account most of the reviewers' comment and I find it publishable. My only comment concerns the data listed in Table 2: I do not believe that one can determine them with such an accuracy; uncertainties should be evaluated. 小修我投上去過了25天還是沒有消息，我實在等不住了，就給編輯發(fā)了一封催稿信，結(jié)果兩天以后收到編輯的拒稿信，信得內(nèi)容如下： Thank you for considering Crystal Growth & Design for your manuscript submission. Due to the large number of manuscripts submitted to our journal and the increased demands that are being placed on our reviewers, we must assess closely, and prior to external review by expert specialists, whether a manuscript fits within the scope of the Journal and whether it will have sufficient appeal to a significant segment of our readership. Manuscripts that are not within the scope of the Journal (see http://pubs.acs.org/page/cgdefu/about.html) or do not provide clear evidence for a significant advance that is likely to be of broad interest to the crystal growth or crystal engineering communities, will not be considered further for publication. In my view, your manuscript does not meet these standards and therefore, I regret that we cannot consider it further for publication. Based on my experience with our reviewers, I believe they would reach the same conclusion. I hope that by returning the manuscript to you quickly without review you can pursue other actions for your manuscript in a timely manner. 1.是否方便告知是哪個編輯？不會是洪院士吧？ 2.是否方便提供您的催告信呢？ 這個期刊我中過兩次，也碰到過大修和小修的狀態(tài)，盡管沒有催過稿，但是編輯的專業(yè)素質(zhì)感覺是不錯的，效率也挺高 同實驗室同學也投過一篇，也是小修被拒，當時是洪院士處理的稿件，稿件小修后四個月都沒有消息，因為急著畢業(yè)，所以期間催過兩次，最后悲劇掉了，但是編輯回復的時候并沒有你提供的回復中的某些話（特別是編輯給你的回復的中間那段我從來沒見到過），而是因為審稿人不太滿意修改程度和態(tài)度，因此我覺得你這個問題有些蹊蹺。 |

我也經(jīng)歷過CGD催稿悲劇的事情，看了編輯給你的回復，我覺得中間那段編輯有點情緒 1.In my view, your manuscript does not meet these standards and therefore, I regret that we cannot consider it further for publication. 這句是套話，意思是判死刑 2.Based on my experience with our reviewers, I believe they would reach the same conclusion. 這句感覺不是套話，而是編輯想說的，從中可以看出小修編輯是沒有送審或者沒有來得及送審的（可能是效率問題），他直接就按照自己的想法，代替審稿人給你下了終審意見了。盡管期刊的主編的意思是最主要的，但是在這樣一個審稿意見下拒稿，太匪夷所思了一些，而且他的那些“創(chuàng)新性不夠”、“意義不大”之類的評語用來評價編輯直接拒掉的文章或者審稿人一致拒掉的文章還是說得過去的。在你這個程度下，編輯這么說，個人覺得是帶有一定情緒的非專業(yè)的做法。 3.I hope that by returning the manuscript to you quickly without review you can pursue other actions for your manuscript in a timely manner. 這句話比較關(guān)鍵，表達了編輯拒你的真實意圖（如果要拒你，前面的話足夠了，沒有必要廢話這么一句，而且這句的意思很突兀），他就是嫌你催稿了，覺得“在沒有審核的情況下快點給你下結(jié)論可以有助于你及時開展下一步工作”。你覺得這個理由如何？很無奈也很搞笑不是？ 總的來說，前面的蟲子都覺得在你這么個審稿意見的情況下，最終悲劇很蹊蹺，很多人認為是編輯發(fā)錯信得原因，就說明這個事情是多么的罕見了。如果不是編輯發(fā)錯信得話，我覺得很明顯的，你的催稿信讓編輯不爽了，這可能是編輯自身的問題，也有可能是你催稿信本身的問題。 |
