To all International Students and Scholars, On Friday, ISSS e-mailed you to inform you that the Department of State had suspended issuing new entry visas for all F, J and M visa classifications. Today we are happy to report that the communication issues between SEVIS and the Department of State’s Consular database have been resolved and that embassies have resumed issuing entry visas for SEVIS classifications. 已經解除了，現在又恢復正常了 |

SEVP and the Department of State have resolved the technical issue that caused an immediate halt in all F and J visas issuance. 還有一個證據就是，美國駐上海使館上面，被check的簽表名單，還是11-17日的，一直沒有更新了，這個就是停發(fā)的一種征兆。但這也是我的猜測。不知道對不對。大家不妨登陸網址查看， http://shanghai.usembassy-china. ... -pending-cases.html 在網頁中，顯示文字下面和姓名列表之間的更新日期還是 11-17-2011上午11.45am ，從17日之后到現在快4天了，居然沒有更新，難道真的暫停了？ |

The Department of State has temporarily halted the issuance of ALL F and J visas at ALL US Embassies and Consulates due to technical difficulties. This is effective immediately. Please note that this may cause delays in travel. Students and Scholars who currently have a scheduled visa appointment or are pending a visa application are advised to contact the embassy/consulate to determine the status of your current appointment and/or application. Students and Scholars who were planning on applying for a visa over Winter Break should be warned that this recent incident could cause delays.
