Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them: Work, Family, Health, Friends, Spirit. And you re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls-family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed , marked, nicked , damaged or even shattered . They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How? Don t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Don t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would cling to your life, for without them, life is meaningless. Don t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life. Don t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. Don t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us each together. Don t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Don t shut love out of your life by saying it s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Don t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you ve been, but also where you are going. 把生活想象成一個(gè)在空中拋接五只球的游戲。這五只球被你分別稱為：工作、家庭、健康、友誼和精神。你努力不讓它們從空中掉下來(lái)。你馬上就發(fā)現(xiàn)惟有工作是一個(gè)橡皮球。如果你將它掉到地上，它還會(huì)彈回來(lái)。但其它四只球——家庭、健康、朋友和精神都是玻璃的。如果你把任何一個(gè)掉到地上，便會(huì)不可挽回地留下疤痕、裂縫、受損甚至摔得粉碎。它們永遠(yuǎn)也無(wú)法恢復(fù)原樣。你必須懂得這一點(diǎn)并在生活中努力保持平衡。 怎樣做到這一點(diǎn)呢？ 不要總拿自己與別人比從而貶低自身的價(jià)值。正因?yàn)槲覀儽舜说牟町惒煌覀儾艜?huì)各有千秋。 別人認(rèn)為重要，并不能作為你確定目標(biāo)的根據(jù)。只有你自己知道，什么東西對(duì)你最好。 與你內(nèi)心最貼近的東西，切莫等閑視之。要像堅(jiān)守生命一樣堅(jiān)守住它們，因?yàn)槭ニ鼈�，生活就�?huì)毫無(wú)意義。 不要耽于過(guò)去或未來(lái)，而讓生命從指間悄悄溜走。一次只活一天，活在今日，你就充實(shí)地活過(guò)生命中的每一天。如果你還可以付出，就不要輕言放棄。在你停止努力那一刻之前，什么都沒(méi)有真正結(jié)束。 正因?yàn)槲覀兌疾煌昝�，我們才�?huì)彼此需要。 不要害怕遭遇風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。只有通過(guò)冒險(xiǎn)，我們才能學(xué)會(huì)如何變得勇敢。 別說(shuō)真愛(ài)難求，而將愛(ài)拒之門于生活之外。獲得愛(ài)的捷徑是給予愛(ài)，失去愛(ài)的捷徑是扼住愛(ài)，而守住愛(ài)的捷徑是給愛(ài)插上翅膀。 不要一生奔忙，匆匆而過(guò)，以至于忘了自己從何而來(lái)，往何而去。 不要忘記一個(gè)人最大的感情需要是得到別人的理解。 不要害怕學(xué)習(xí)。知識(shí)沒(méi)有重量：它是你隨時(shí)可以輕松攜帶的寶藏。 不要漫不經(jīng)心地打發(fā)時(shí)間或口無(wú)遮攔地說(shuō)話，失去的時(shí)間和說(shuō)出去的話都無(wú)法挽回。 生活不是一場(chǎng)賽跑，而是每一步都宜細(xì)細(xì)品嘗的人生旅程。 昨天屬于歷史。明天是未知的謎。而今天是賜予我們的禮物：所以我們把“今天”稱之為present。 [ 來(lái)自科研家族 夢(mèng)里的棉花糖 ] |
