【緊急求助】offer鑒定及相關(guān)問(wèn)題~~請(qǐng)有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的蟲(chóng)友不吝賜教~~

絕非炫耀貼，確實(shí)沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)真正的offer是啥樣的，感謝大家的幫助~ 這是我最近剛收到的一份美國(guó)博后offer，但我不確定這份offer是否就是所謂的正式offer，也就是說(shuō)這份offer能否將來(lái)用于辦簽證時(shí)作為對(duì)方教授邀請(qǐng)信的證明材料。如果這份不是正式的offer，那么正式的offer又應(yīng)該包括哪些內(nèi)容呢？請(qǐng)大家耐心看完帖子的內(nèi)容，非常感謝你們的幫助~~呵呵~~期待大家的回復(fù)和意見(jiàn)~~ 信件內(nèi)容如下(部分個(gè)人信息略去，請(qǐng)見(jiàn)諒)： Dear ****, Thank you very much for your patience. I am pleased to offer you a post-doctoral position in my research group starting summer 2012, after the completion of your Ph.D. Salary for the position is $*****/year. As described in the attached document, **** (那所大學(xué)名) offers a generous set of health and other benefits for post-docs. I can also offer you $***** in relocation benefits (receipts required). I think we have a very exciting set of problem areas and collaborations that you would enjoy and benefit from working on. My goal is to give post-docs real development opportunities, to lead their own projects, help oversee younger students, and gain visibility in the community. My post-docs have been very successful: two of the most recent have gotten faculty positions, one in ****, another at ****. I am of course eager to fill this position as soon as possible and would appreciate hearing your decision as soon as possible Of course I understand you may have other opportunities to consider and need some time to evaluate this offer. Prof. **** ~~~~~~ 這位教授在這封信中并未帶上附件，又找他要了，也問(wèn)了下有關(guān)正式offer的問(wèn)題，另外告訴他我還收到了另一份offer，需要時(shí)間考慮并在數(shù)天內(nèi)盡快回復(fù)。他的回復(fù)如下： ~~~~~ Dear *****, My apologies for forgetting the attachment! I've included it here. ****（那所大學(xué)名） will provide an official offer letter as soon as we receive documentation from your university that you have completed all the requirements for the Ph.D. ****（那所大學(xué)名）will of course help with the visa process. I do not expect much difficulty or delay with the visa. Congratulations on receiving two post-doc offers. ***days is a very reasonable time to make a decision. Are you available to talk on Skype on ****? I would like to discuss the position with you and answer any questions you might have. Best wishes, Prof. ***** ~~~~~ PS：麻煩再問(wèn)幾個(gè)問(wèn)題， 1、寫(xiě)到這才發(fā)現(xiàn)，這兩封信里好像也沒(méi)具體提及 博后 的年限，對(duì)方教授是準(zhǔn)備跟我Skype后再確定？ 2、第二封信里所說(shuō)的 documentation from your university具體是指什么？答辯通過(guò)后的什么證明材料嗎？是不是還未畢業(yè)的博士都必須在完成答辯后給對(duì)方教授或?qū)Ψ絾挝秽]寄（email？傳真？）正式的、能說(shuō)明你畢業(yè)的材料，對(duì)方才能給你郵寄下一步的材料？比如DS2019表？ 3、這里教授又提了“official offer letter”，難道說(shuō)前面第一封不算是offer嗎？實(shí)在是有點(diǎn)搞暈了。我準(zhǔn)備如果實(shí)在整不明白的話(huà)，就直接跟教授Skype下問(wèn)個(gè)明白。。。 4、對(duì)方教授反復(fù)說(shuō)要Skype下，我也答應(yīng)并約定了時(shí)間，我是有不少問(wèn)題想問(wèn)，但不知道他具體還想知道點(diǎn)啥？大家有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的話(huà)多多提供哦~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 稀里糊涂說(shuō)了一大堆，不知道把自己的問(wèn)題講明白了沒(méi)，呵呵，非常謝謝大家的幫助~~~ [ Last edited by 天棚元帥 on 2012-2-22 at 11:49 ] |

這算是offer了，但不是正式的offer letter。 正式的offer其實(shí)是對(duì)方學(xué)校導(dǎo)師和人力資源部門(mén)給你的一份合同書(shū)，是一份紙質(zhì)文件上面有對(duì)方學(xué)校院系負(fù)責(zé)人的簽名。 你需要簽署之后再給他們郵寄回去。同時(shí)你還會(huì)得到一些文件，那上面的薪水、簽證等都寫(xiě)得很細(xì)。 你現(xiàn)在可以詢(xún)問(wèn)一下薪水、年限和簽證類(lèi)型這些。 當(dāng)然你也得給他們提供一些文件，比如你的學(xué)位證明等等。具體需要什么人家會(huì)通過(guò)skype告訴你。 先恭喜了。 |
