MMOR reject and resubmit

昨天剛剛收到的拒稿信，沒(méi)有經(jīng)驗(yàn)，求指點(diǎn)。下面是編輯的信： Reviewers' comments on your work have now been received. You will see that they are advising against publication of your work. Therefore I must reject the manuscript as is but I encourage you to resubmit the manuscript. For your guidance, I append the reviewers' comments below. Thank you for your submission to MMOR. Unfortunately, the reviews were not positive, and I must reject the paper, though I encourage you to re-submit it if you can address all comments in a revision. Two additional comment that you must address are: 1. You must demonstrate how your work fits into the current body of work. I noticed that the most recent reference is from 2007 (with only one more newer than 2000). That makes me wonder how timely and of general interest your work might be. 2. Machine scheduling is a well-know problem in the operations research, and is typically solved using integer programming. This approach can handle problems that are far more complex than the simple examples that the game theory literature solves theoretically. How does your work relate to that body of work, and what new insights can you offer. Note that in practice, integer programming has been used for decades to solve these and other operational planning problems in industry. 另外一個(gè)審稿人的意見(jiàn)在附件里：除了前面的肯定，主要意見(jiàn)是 Overall the results in the paper merit publication. The extensions considered in the paper are important - specially in Section 3. I have one major concern for the paper - its exposition needs to be better. Specially, Section 3 is very loosely written. For instance, it starts with“chain precedence constraint”without formally defining it. It is not clear what a“Sidney-component”is. Definition 1 is a mess - it can be improved by breaking it up into small bits. Theorem 6 has an incomplete sentence (the last sentence ends with the word “under”). If the writing in Section 3 is improved, I have no hesitation in recommending acceptance of this paper. 求意見(jiàn)，求指點(diǎn) |

vivee(金幣+5): ★★★很有幫助 本人寫作確有不足，但是我覺(jué)得前一個(gè)意見(jiàn)完全是課題不同的人看來(lái)覺(jué)得沒(méi)什么價(jià)值，事實(shí)上我是做的交叉學(xué)科的課題，不專注大規(guī)模計(jì)算，所以感覺(jué)只能加幾篇新一點(diǎn)的參考文獻(xiàn)，再解釋一下為什么不用整數(shù)規(guī)劃，整數(shù)規(guī)劃解完還要另外求代價(jià)分配，所以只有少數(shù)情況用整數(shù)規(guī)劃。至于文章寫作的第三部分要大改我同意，而且會(huì)按意見(jiàn)改，但是不知道這樣重投有沒(méi)有希望 2012-02-24 09:54:10

做科研就要有一種執(zhí)著的精神，只有這樣才能夠成功。樓上兄弟們的建議應(yīng)該對(duì)樓主有一定的幫助。但是既然主編已經(jīng)給你重投的機(jī)會(huì)，希望你能夠珍惜。 看來(lái)你的scetion 3沒(méi)有細(xì)心地推敲和斟酌，文章的每一句話都要簡(jiǎn)潔明了，描述清晰準(zhǔn)確，行文流暢。 前一段時(shí)間有個(gè)研究生在自己寫完文章之后總是沾沾自喜，覺(jué)得很了不起，屁股都要翹到天上了，給了他很多的建議，直接無(wú)視，一氣之下不給修改直接投出，幾天后直接斃掉，之后當(dāng)面再次指出了他的不足，這一次他虛心接受（這些話不是針對(duì)樓主）。文章一定不能盲目，在修改幾次之后要逐字逐句地細(xì)細(xì)讀一遍，包括標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)，圖標(biāo)都要在檢查一次再行投稿。做到事半功倍，你離成功也就不遠(yuǎn)了。但前提是你的paper 的新穎性和創(chuàng)新性沒(méi)有問(wèn)題。 |
