The theme of the LTLGB 2012 is “The Integration of technology, policy and management in a low carbon world”. LTLGB 2012 is hosted by Beijing Jiaotong University, cooperated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology and sponsored by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) and K. C. Wong Education Foundation. The aim of the meeting is to promote not only the communication between researchers but also the communication between government and researchers in low carbon transportation, low carbon logistics, green buildings. The LTLGB 2012 will provide an idea-exchange and discussion platform for the world’s researchers and academia, where internationally recognized researchers and practitioners share cutting-edge information, address the hottest issue in low carbon transportation, logistics and green building, explore new low carbon technologies and management methods, exchange and build upon new ideas. And meantime the conference will also provide researchers and practitioners an opportunity to highlight innovative research directions, and a growing number of novel applications. Conference Publication： All accepted papers will be included in the main conference proceedings published by Springer-Verlag if the registration fee was paid, the proceedings will be submitted for indexing, such as CPCI-S（ISTP）and EI. Selected high-quality presented papers will be invited to submit the revised and expanded version to be considered for publication in SSCI journal International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics and EI journal Advances in Information Sciences and Service Sciences. All relevant information and the submitted paper must be written in English. Both full research papers and work-in-progress reports are welcome. Authors are required to certify that theirs paper represent original work and is previously unpublished elsewhere. Simultaneous submission to any other conference, workshop or journal is strictly excluded.
