Welcome to First International Symposium on Land Remote Sensing！ With immense amounts of data available from satellite observations, sophisticated models and inversion algorithms have been developed and a series of satellite products have been generated to meet the needs for spatial information on Earth’s environment and resources. This meeting will assess the current progress and identify the future research directions of land remote sensing. Both review and technical papers are solicited on modeling and inversion algorithms, production systems, validation, and utilization of these relevant land surface products. Deadline for on-line abstract submission postponed to April 05, Acceptance notice postponed to April 12. 2. The conference papers will be published as a special issue in two journal (One is “Journal of Remote Sensing”, the other is to be determined, which should indexed by SCI). If want to publish in journals, send the full paper to “islrs2012@163.com” before July 1, 2012. Academic Committee will choose the excellent manuscript from the papers.
