日本研發(fā)出全球最輕薄柔性太陽能電池,厚度僅保鮮膜1/5,效率4.2% 已有18人參與

日本科學技術(shù)振興機構(gòu)(JST;Japan Science and Technology Agency)4日發(fā)布新聞稿宣布,已攜手東京大學研發(fā)出全球最薄、最輕的有機太陽能電池,其厚度僅有1.8-1.9μm,僅有家用保鮮膜的1/5厚。 JST指出,研究團隊是在厚度僅1.4μm的超薄塑膠薄膜基板上均勻涂上溶有有機半導體的墨水(Ink)而成功研發(fā)出上述全球最輕薄的太陽能電池;據(jù)東大表示,目前全球最薄的太陽能電池厚度為25μm,而此次新研發(fā)的產(chǎn)品厚度僅有其約1/14。 JST表示,隨著成功實現(xiàn)太陽能電池的超輕化、超薄化,可望進一步帶動太陽能電池應(yīng)用于智慧型手機等行動裝置上。 JST指出,該款全球最輕薄的太陽能電池轉(zhuǎn)換率為4.2%,雖遜于現(xiàn)行太陽能電池的10-20%水準,惟因該款產(chǎn)品可像頭發(fā)一樣彎曲,且彎曲后轉(zhuǎn)換率不會受到任何影響(轉(zhuǎn)換率仍可維持于4.2%),加上生產(chǎn)該款產(chǎn)品無需復(fù)雜工程、也無需高價生產(chǎn)設(shè)備,故可以低成本進行生產(chǎn)。 JST并指出,該款全球最輕薄太陽能電池每公克(0.25平方公尺)的發(fā)電量為10W,發(fā)電量達現(xiàn)行安裝于家庭屋頂?shù)奶柲茈姵氐?5倍(在換算成相同重量的情況下)。據(jù)日經(jīng)指出,JST今后計劃藉由改良發(fā)電層的材料,將該款全球最輕薄太陽能電池的轉(zhuǎn)換率提升至10%水準。上述全球最輕薄太陽能電池的相關(guān)論文已于4月4日刊載于英國科學雜志「Nature Communications」的電子板上,論文標題為“Ultrathin and lightweight organic solar cells with high flexibility”。 Application-specific requirements for future lighting, displays and photovoltaics will include large-area, low-weight and mechanical resilience for dual-purpose uses such as electronic skin, textiles and surface conforming foils. Here we demonstrate polymer-based photovoltaic devices on plastic foil substrates less than 2 μm thick, with equal power conversion efficiency to their glass-based counterparts. They can reversibly withstand extreme mechanical deformation and have unprecedented solar cell-specific weight. Instead of a single bend, we form a random network of folds within the device area. The processing methods are standard, so the same weight and flexibility should be achievable in light emitting diodes, capacitors and transistors to fully realize ultrathin organic electronics.
